The harmful facts of plastic bottle

It can't be denied that the plastic-related products are much more convenient and durable compare to glass and ceramic products. It has been widely used in most of the industry, especially in drinking water, due to the low production cost on the plastic. However, researchers have found increasingly severe harmful effects of plastic bottle toward human health. Infants, new born, even fetuses are the most vulnerable to these side effects.

Stunning facts on plastic:

a.   There are 1500 water bottles end up as garbage every second
b.   The global bottled water industry has annual revenue of approximately US$50 billion.
c.   Huge amount of plastic waste is generated from bottled water, with over 80% going to the landfill.
d.   17 million barrels of oil was used to manufacture plastic containers yearly, which is enough to fuel more than a million cars for a year.
e.   Bottled water transported from Western Europe released an estimated 3800 tons of greenhouse gases, while in South Pacific producing about 2500 tons of global warming pollution
f.    The most commonly used plastic containers with recycle code of “1” takes 400-1000 years to be degraded while the plastic containers with recycle code of “3” pollute the soil and the ground water during its degradation period.

Harmful plastic side effects on infants:

In 2010, a report from the United States food and Drug Administration (FDA) has identified the possible hazards of the Bisphenol A (BPA) to fetuses, infants and young children. Later the BPA has been banned and removed from the usage in baby bottles. It is believed that the BPA could lead to children with premature puberty, learning deficits, hyperactivity and harms to prostate gland.
Claytan has developed its ceramic SunRay Bottles since 2009. It is a stoneware ceramic bottle, fired to 1150’c with stainless steels cap. Ceramic is the most inert material in the earth which can withstand the attack of the chemicals like acid. The SunRay bottles do not have any chemical reaction even when it is poured with boiling water or placed under burning sun. It is totally an eco-friendly and lead-safe certified product which is your best choice to your children and your family.

6 Do’s and Don’ts For Healthy Living

With the fast growing of technology today, people are paying more attention on their health. Google for “Healthy Life” and you’re getting tons of information showing you how to live a healthier life. Here’s some simple ways that you could work them out daily to maintain your body health.

1.       Do: Quality sleep à Don’t: Stay up “Just for one more show”
“Just one more show and I will sleep”. Isn’t it familiar to you? Especially during weekends, we stay up just because it is a long-awaited and precious weekend after a week of hard work yet we do not have to wake up early the next day. However, a well-rested body leads to clearer mind and it’s the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. A fully-rejuvenated body helps to improve our memory, creativity and prolong our lifespan base on the results of the Alameda County Study in California back in 1960s. So, keep whatever things that you “eager” to do it on Saturday night, leave it for the next day as you’re going to have a lot more energy to deal with anything after getting a 6-8 hours of good sleep.

2.       Do: Have breakfast à Don’t: Skip breakfast
There’re a lot reasons people tend to give themselves for skipping breakfast. The most-heard reason is being “too busy”. Researcher from the Harvard School of Public Health said that skipping breakfast could lead to adverse metabolic effects and high blood pressure which are the fundamental to heart disease. Breakfast is the first meal of the day and it helps to jump-start our day. A piece of toast or a bowl of cereal meal would be enough to fuel up our day. Breakfast, in fact, helps to aid our weigh loss. So, skipping breakfast is no longer helpful to your slimming plan, the truth is, you’re going to gain unexpected weight instead.

3.       Do: Stay hydrated àDon’t: Stay hydrated with carbonated drink
Human body is comprised of 60 percent water. Women need to consume more water to keep their skin moisture. At least 6-8 glasses of water are needed for our normal body functions throughout the day. Water plays the very important roles in our body as it helps the detoxification of kidneys and liver, dissolves minerals and other nutrition for better body absorption, regulates body temperatures, and etc.  Don’t try to replace it with carbonated drinks as it may leads to calcium loss from our body.

4.       Do: Move your body à Don’t: “I will start exercise tomorrow”
“I am just too tired today and I will start my exercise tomorrow”. This is the most common excuse given by those working adults. Thanks to the advance technology we have today that brought us a lot more conveniences, people tend to have less movement as we could almost get everything  with one click. Don’t make your exercise just sitting at the desk all day or laying on the couch all evening. Get on a regular schedule and be more active. It could be jogging, swimming or dancing! Start small and make your way up to longer and intense workout.

5.       Do: Snack à Don’t: Overeat
Snack is no longer just for kid, adults need it too. Light snack between meals help to revitalize our body and mind. Fat-free-sugar-free snacks will be the best choice. A small and frequent meal is better than having heavy meals 3 times a day. Your digestive system will say thank you if it is able to do so.

6.       Do: Unplug à Don’t: Interact through computer

We are living in the world of radioactive. Smartphones, laptops and TVs release radioactive while they are working. We are just too easy to get stuck in front of screens for hours before we can pull our attention off from them. It’s time to unplug yourself from the screen after you have finished reading the articles and have some times with the nature. It will help your posture, eyesight and clear your mind.

Prevent Frizzy Hair During Your Perfect Dating

It’s going to be a FRIDAY NIGHT! Have you get ready with your stuffs to welcome your long-awaited date with you love ones? You might want to show your love the best part of you. However, due to the exposure to the external pollutions or chemicals or even intense heat, our hair become fuzzy and fragile if we do not pay extra attention on the hair care.

But what really makes our hair fuzzy and dull? Some people say that it is because of the positive ions on the surface of our hair that lead to our hair strands repel each other (imagine putting two magnets with the same magnetic pole together and they repel each other) – making our hair looks frizzy, fragile and dull. In this case, the negative ions help to neutralize the positive ions and reduce the fizziness. The negative ions could also reduce the risk of hair damage as it breaks the water molecules down faster than the positive ions do and tighten cuticles of hair to prevent frizzy hair.

With VOLCA Life-Energy Comb consistently releases negative ions and Far Infrared Red (FIR), it helps to improve the condition of our hair by using it to massage our hair scalp. Spend only 10 minutes a day to massage your hair scalp with the VOLCA Life-Energy Comb and observe the changes!

The VOLCA Life-Energy Comb

Over the years, Claytan adhere to its culture of being creative, innovative and trendy. Claytan observed the increased awareness on health care products, therefore we have committed into the development of Ceramic Health Care products back in years. VOLCA Life-Energy Comb is made of high quality ceramic body fired to 1200 degree Celsius with high contents of volcanic mineral powder that releases high level of Far Infrared Red (FIR) and negative ions that are long lasting.

Recent research shows that the negative ions contribute positive influences toward the environment and human body. Negative ion is a small element with excellent penetration toward human body. The benefits of negative ions are considerable which cover the aspects below:

(a)    The cardiovascular system: Negative ions help to expend the coronary, increase blood flows and improve cardiac muscle functions;
(b)   Nervous system: Negative ions could penetrate into the blood brain barrier which regulate the balance cerebral cortex who plays a key role in memory, attention & etc;
(c)    Skin: Negative ions have good reaction towards our skin which helps to adjust the skin pH to a healthier level and better skin condition.

Besides negative ions which are well-known as beneficial to healthy life, far infrared red (FIR) is also widely researched and discussed among its influences toward human body today.

(a)    FIR activates the water molecules which forms 65% of human’s body weight and carries higher content of oxygen;
(b)   FIR improves micro circulatory system, increase body metabolism rate that support better body detoxification;
(c)     FIR is effective in purifying our blood and to balance the overall body pH level.
